Interesting story of a woman who ran drug smuggling operations and became biggest drug lord - feels like a female empowerment story as she faced judgment from her husband, been trafficked by him for money, and was taken as incapable, in a way that helped her do things and not draw suspicion. The episode 1 opens with her running home being stabbed or wounded and we get to revisit the moments of that day through out that episode and the next. She leaves for Miami and smuggles cocaine in her son's suitcase because he is 11. She stands up for herself, beats the guy who stole her code and hirs a bodyguard. Supposedly we will see huge transition later, I felt her mouth was bit weird at the beginning - was that the VFX? Need Netflix to watch more.
